Operator and contact

Gallery Search AI is provided by JUNEYOUNG KIM, an independent developer based in South Korea, using the developer name lpaiu. Contact: lpaiu.cs@gmail.com.

Photos and search

Gallery Search AI processes your chosen photos and English search descriptions entirely on your iPhone. Its AI search models are included in the app. The app does not upload your photos, descriptions, or search representations to cloud AI, the developer, or a search service. It has no advertising, analytics service, app account, or tracking identifier.

Photo access

You choose which photos the app may access, individually or by a date range. Date selection reads photo dates from the library you authorize. Limited photo-library access is supported; full-library access is not required. Indexing asks Photos for previews already available locally and does not request iCloud originals. Photos and iOS may separately synchronize your library under your system settings. A photo with no available local preview remains waiting.

What stays on your device

The app saves small image copies, search vectors, photo-library identifiers, preview metadata, content fingerprints used to avoid duplicate imports, and a list of photos still waiting for access or a preview. These records stay in the app's private storage and are excluded from device backups. Saved preview copies omit embedded source metadata. Search descriptions are used for the current search and are not stored as a search history.

Sharing and copying

When you choose Share or Copy, the app may request the selected full-size photo from Photos (including current edits), including an iCloud download if necessary. Sharing hands that photo to the destination you choose in the iOS share sheet. Copying writes it to the system clipboard, where another app may read it when you paste. Recipients and other apps apply their own privacy practices. The shared or copied photo may contain metadata such as capture time or location. The developer does not receive a copy.

Your choices and deletion

Change photo permission in iOS Settings. Removing an app copy or clearing the app's library deletes the corresponding private search data without deleting your originals in Photos. Removing the app removes its private storage. Previously shared photos and clipboard content are outside the app's private library; manage those in the receiving app or system.

Support and changes

Open Help from the main screen or Manage photos for instructions on managing your collection and local data. This policy describes the current version of the app. The current public policy is available at https://lpaiu-cs.github.io/platelog-site/gallery-search-ai/privacy.html.

Optional support and website visits

If you email support, the developer receives your email address and the information you choose to send. It is used to answer the request, troubleshoot, or handle a privacy complaint, and is kept only while needed for that purpose and any applicable legal obligations. Do not send passwords, payment details, or private photos. Email is processed by Google's email service, and the developer handles requests in South Korea. This voluntary support process is separate from photo search: the app does not automatically send diagnostic reports or your photo collection.

The public documentation is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub logs visitors' IP addresses for security. Website visits and optional support emails are described at https://lpaiu-cs.github.io/platelog-site/site-privacy.html. They do not cause your photos or search descriptions to be uploaded by this app.

Privacy requests and complaints

Email lpaiu.cs@gmail.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information held in support correspondence, or to raise a privacy concern. Where applicable law provides them, you may also request restriction or portability, object to processing, or complain to your local privacy authority. We respond within applicable legal deadlines and explain any lawful reason a request cannot be fulfilled. For support, our purpose and, where required, lawful basis are responding to your request and our legitimate interest in providing support; legal obligations may require limited retention. Local photos and search data are controlled through the app and iOS settings because the developer cannot access them. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, AI training, or decisions with legal effects.
